October 26 – Quartet w/ Taku Sugimoto, Michiko Ogawa & Sam Dunscombe in Berlin

I will be performing on Saturday, October 26 as part of a 3-day Taku Sugimoto (JP) mini-festival in Berlin. The Saturday event takes place at külspot from 8:00 – 11:00 and will feature an improvised set by Sugimoto, Ogawa, Dunscombe & myself, alongside a set of Taku Sugimoto’s pop songs w/ Sugimoto, Ogawa, Dunscombe + Rishin Singh, Stefan Thut and Minami Seiki, as well as a performance of Stefan Thut’s ‘Amidst‘.

Duo w/ Oren Ambarchi in Melbourne @ FOJAM festival – Sept 8, 2019

Coming up on Sunday September 8, Oren Ambarchi and i will perform in our duo at the Melbourne Recital Centre for FOJAMFestival of Jewish Arts and Music. August 24 trio w/ Graham Lambkin & James Rushford in Melbourne.

The long travel to Australia for a string of exciting performances in the coming weeks begins this week! Things get started this Saturday, August 24 at Supersense Festival of the Ecstatic in Melbourne. I will perform on the Saturday afternoon ‘Minimal’ program in a first time trio with Graham Lambkin (UK) and James Rushford (AU). I am really looking forward to creating something unique and uncompromising with these two lovelies.

Sound American 21

The wonderful journal Sound American, edited by Nate Wooley, has just published their 21st issue. I was invited to contribute to Jennie Gottschalk‘s piece ‘Two Questions for Sound Practitioners’ in this issue and you can read the piece online here. A new radio commission for Radiophrenia in Glasgow premiere’s today – May 17 2019

I have been commissioned to create a new piece for radio Broadcast by the wonderful folks at Radiophrenia in Glasgow Scotland. A Piece of Work (2019) was completed in Berlin using recordings made in Oslo, Berlin, Vienna, Winnipeg, Melbourne and Lisbon. The piece is a dynamic journey through shifting acoustic spaces and includes guest players Oren Ambarchi (AU) and Seiji Morimoto (DE).
