This week i am in a micro-residency in Biel Switzerland to create an intervention performance in the wonderfully immersive 2-floor sound installation SOLO / MUTE / PAN created by Olga Kokcharova and Laurent Güdel. The exhibition at Kunsthaus Pasquart is open from 18.9.-20.11.2022.
I will be working alongside Swiss composer Annette Schmucki to create ways of coexisting, disrupting and entangling with Kokcharova & Güdel’s detailed sound composition which is diffused through an elaborate, complex and beautiful acousmonium spaning multiple rooms over two floors of the gallery. Our performance takes place on Thursday September 29 at 18:30 on the top floor.
I will travel to Turku Finland this weekend to present my work at the wonderful Himera Festival. This will be my first time performing in Finland and I am so pleased to join such a fantastic group of artists; Microtub, Charlie Morrow, Lucy Railton and John Edwards as part of this weekends program.
I am very excited to travel to Romania for the very first time to perform this Sunday as part of SimultanFestival – an event dedicated to sound, moving image, performance and media art. The festival spans 8-days and I will perform this coming Saturday, September 11 as the festival begins.

I am thrilled to announce that ‘A Piece Of Work‘ is officially out on LP / Digital today via Berlin based label Second Editions. This piece was originally commissioned for radio broadcast in 2019 by Radiophrenia (Glasgow) and was developed further through live performances in 2019-2021 to conclude in this final version.
I would like to send a BIG thank-you to Malte Jantzen of Second Editions for his support, enthusiasm and patience(!).
The album is available at all the great distributors (EU/US/JP) and can be purchased digitally directly through my bandcamp page HERE.
‘Assembled from fragments collected in Oslo, Berlin, Vienna, Winnipeg, Melbourne and Lisbon, ‘A Piece of Work’ is far more than a travelog or audio diary. cole’s compositions develop more like poetry, resolutely refusing to intone clearly about the exactness of place, but instead representing space, feeling and the joy of investigation. There’s a collage quality to the almost 30-minute composition that flows gently from blustering concrete sounds into warbling tonal drones, subtle crackles and synthesized sputters. But cole’s less interested in hard cuts than imperceptible evolution; her elements shift like sunlight, dipping behind the clouds for a moment, diving from view with perfect, natural timing.’
This coming Monday, Jan 31, Oren Ambarchi and I will perform as part of a special night of programming to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of UK based label Touch – at Berlin’s CTM Festival. Full program details and tickets are availble here.
